The recommended tire pressure for the BMW F 650 GS 2015 is 36 psi for the front tire and 42 psi for the rear tire.
It is recommended to change the oil every 6,000 miles or 10,000 kilometers, or once a year, whichever comes first.
The recommended oil is 15W-50 synthetic motorcycle oil.
To reset the service light, you need to use a GS-911 diagnostic tool or have it reset by a BMW service center.
To adjust the chain tension, place the bike on its center stand, loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain tensioner bolts evenly on both sides, and ensure the chain has about 30-40 mm of slack. Tighten the axle nut afterwards.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure regular maintenance such as keeping the air filter clean, maintaining correct tire pressure, using recommended oil, and avoiding aggressive riding.
For winter storage, clean the motorcycle thoroughly, change the oil, fill the gas tank and add a fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and cover the bike to protect it from dust and moisture.
First, check the battery charge and connections. Ensure the kill switch is off, the bike is in neutral, and the clutch lever is pulled in. If it still won't start, check the fuses and fuel supply.
To check the coolant level, ensure the engine is cool, locate the coolant reservoir on the right side of the bike, and check that the fluid is between the minimum and maximum marks.
Common issues include fuel pump failure, electrical problems, and chain wear. Regular maintenance and timely troubleshooting can help mitigate these issues.
