To assemble the Bissell Little Green Spotclean 3698L, attach the flex hose clip to the front of the machine, snap the tool storage bracket into place on the back, and wrap the power cord around the cord wrap hooks. Ensure all components are securely attached.
Remove the clean water tank from the unit, unscrew the cap, and fill it with warm tap water up to the water line. Then, add the recommended formula to the solution line. Replace the cap securely before placing the tank back into the machine.
For tough stains, pre-treat the area with a stain remover, then use the machine's spray trigger to apply cleaning solution. Gently scrub the area with the brush attachment and suction up the dirt and solution. Repeat the process if necessary.
If the suction power is weak, check for clogs in the hose or nozzle, ensure the dirty water tank is not full, and confirm that all components are tightly sealed. Cleaning the filter may also improve suction.
The dirty water tank should be cleaned after each use to prevent odors and build-up. Empty the tank, rinse it with warm water, and allow it to dry completely before reattaching.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filter, emptying and rinsing the tanks after each use, checking the hose and attachments for clogs, and inspecting the power cord for damage. Store the machine in a dry area.
Ensure the machine is clean and dry before storing. Wrap the power cord around the hooks, secure the hose in the flex hose clip, and store the attachments on the tool storage bracket. Keep the machine in a cool, dry place.
If the machine does not spray, check that the clean water tank is full and properly seated. Inspect the spray tip for clogs and ensure the solution hose is not kinked. Verify that the trigger is being pressed correctly.
It is recommended to use Bissell cleaning formulas to ensure optimal performance and avoid damage to the machine. Using non-Bissell formulas may void the warranty.
To clean the machine after use, empty and rinse both the clean and dirty water tanks. Remove and wash the filter, clean the nozzle and attachments, and wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Allow all parts to dry before reassembling.
