To reset the Baxi 18 MainEco System boiler, press the reset button on the control panel and hold it for 5 seconds. The boiler will attempt to restart.
First, check the thermostat settings and ensure the heating function is on. If the issue persists, inspect the pressure gauge. It should be between 1 and 1.5 bar. If the pressure is low, top it up using the filling loop.
The Baxi 18 MainEco System boiler should be serviced annually by a qualified technician to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Error code E133 indicates a gas supply issue. Check that the gas supply is on, and if the problem persists, contact a qualified engineer for further diagnosis.
To increase the water pressure, locate the filling loop beneath the boiler. Open the valves slowly and watch the pressure gauge rise to between 1 and 1.5 bar. Close the valves once the desired pressure is reached.
Some noise is normal, especially when the boiler is starting up. However, if you hear unusual banging or whistling sounds, it may indicate air in the system or a build-up of limescale. Consider bleeding the radiators or contacting a technician.
Turn off the heating and wait for the system to cool. Use a radiator key to open the bleed valve at the top of the radiator. Allow trapped air to escape until water drips out, then close the valve.
If the pilot light repeatedly goes out, it may indicate a thermocouple issue or a problem with the gas supply. It's best to contact a professional engineer to inspect and resolve the issue.
Use the control panel to adjust the desired temperature for both heating and hot water. Refer to the user manual for specific button functions and settings.
Regularly check the pressure gauge, bleed radiators, and ensure that vents and airways are clear. For safety, more complex maintenance should be performed by a certified technician.
