To clean the toaster, unplug it and make sure it is completely cool. Remove the crumb tray and dispose of crumbs, then hand wash the tray with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
Ensure the toaster is plugged into a working outlet. Check for any tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses. If it still doesn’t work, contact customer support as there may be an internal fault.
Use bread slices that fit easily into the slots without forcing them. If bread does get stuck, unplug the toaster and allow it to cool before gently removing the bread with a non-metallic tool.
For white and lighter breads, use a lower setting. For denser breads like whole grain or rye, a medium to high setting may be necessary. Adjust according to your preference for toast color and crispness.
Check the crumb tray after every few uses. It's time to empty it when you notice a buildup of crumbs, as this can affect toaster performance and pose a fire hazard.
Uneven toasting can be caused by crumbs obstructing the heating elements or an improperly positioned bread slice. Make sure the toaster is clean and the bread is centered in the slot.
While the toaster is primarily designed for bread, you can also toast items like bagels, English muffins, and frozen waffles. Ensure they fit easily into the slots and monitor them closely.
The cancel button immediately stops the toasting process and pops up the bread. It is useful if you notice your toast is getting too dark or you need to stop the cycle for any reason.
Use the defrost function if available. This setting will gently thaw the bread before toasting it. If your model doesn’t have a defrost button, use a low setting initially to thaw the bread, then toast as usual.
Regularly clean the crumb tray and wipe down the exterior. Check the power cord for damage and ensure the slots are free of debris. Store the toaster in a dry place when not in use.
