The AcuraLink system generally does not require regular maintenance. However, ensuring that the software is up to date is crucial. Check for updates every 6 months and consult your dealership for any necessary software upgrades.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure your tires are properly inflated, use the ECON mode for better fuel management, and keep up with regular maintenance such as oil changes and air filter replacements. Also, avoid aggressive driving and excessive idling.
First, ensure your mobile device's Bluetooth is on and paired with the AcuraLink system. If the issue persists, restart your phone and the vehicle's infotainment system. If still unresolved, check for software updates or consult your dealer for assistance.
To replace the cabin air filter, open the glove box and remove the damper arm. Press the sides of the glove box inward to drop it down completely. Locate the filter cover, remove it, and replace the old filter with a new one. Reassemble in reverse order.
Common warning lights include the Check Engine Light, TPMS indicator, Oil Pressure Light, and Battery Charge Warning. Each light indicates a specific issue; refer to the owner's manual for detailed information and take appropriate action.
To perform an oil change, safely elevate the vehicle and place a drain pan under the oil pan. Remove the drain plug and allow the old oil to fully drain. Replace the oil filter, reinsert the drain plug, and fill the engine with the recommended oil type and quantity.
To jump-start, connect the positive cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery and the other positive to the donor battery. Connect the negative cable to the donor battery's negative terminal and the other negative to a grounding point on the dead vehicle. Start the donor vehicle, then the dead one.
To update the navigation system, visit the official Acura website and download the latest map update to a USB drive. Insert the USB into the vehicle's USB port, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
Signs of a failing battery include slow engine crank, dim headlights, electrical issues, and a battery warning light on the dashboard. Regularly test the battery's health and replace it if it exhibits these symptoms.
