To replace the wiper blades on your 2019 Acura RDX, lift the wiper arm away from the windshield. Press the release tab on the wiper blade, then slide the blade off the arm. Align the new blade and slide it into place until you hear a click.
The 2019 Acura RDX typically requires a 26-inch wiper blade for the driver's side and a 16-inch blade for the passenger's side. Check your vehicle's manual to confirm sizes.
If your wiper blades do not move, check the fuse for the wiper motor first. If the fuse is intact, inspect the wiper motor and linkage for any signs of damage or disconnection.
Squeaking noise from the wipers can be caused by dirt on the windshield or worn-out wiper blades. Clean the windshield and wiper blades. Replace the blades if the noise persists.
Adjust the wiper speed using the stalk on the right side of the steering wheel. Turn the dial on the stalk to change the speed or set it to intermittent mode.
Streaking can be caused by dirty blades or a dirty windshield. Clean both thoroughly. If streaking persists, consider replacing the wiper blades.
The 2019 Acura RDX is equipped with rain-sensing wipers. Turn the wiper control to the 'Auto' position to activate this feature, which will adjust wiper speed based on rainfall intensity.
Use a high-quality windshield washer fluid that is suitable for all seasons. Avoid using water as it may freeze in low temperatures and does not clean effectively.
Check if the rear wiper fuse is blown. Inspect the rear wiper motor and wiring for any disconnections. Ensure that the rear wiper control is activated.
It is recommended to change the wiper blades every 6 to 12 months, or whenever they show signs of wear such as streaking or splitting.
