To activate the one-touch turn signal, tap the turn signal lever up or down lightly. The signal will flash three times and then turn off automatically.
The 2014 Acura RLX does not allow customization of the number of flashes for the one-touch turn signal feature. It is pre-set to flash three times.
If the one-touch turn signal is not working, check the fuse related to the turn signals and ensure it is not blown. Refer to the owner’s manual for the fuse box location and specifications. If the fuse is intact, consult a qualified technician.
The one-touch turn signal feature is a standard setting on the 2014 Acura RLX and cannot be disabled through the vehicle's settings.
Regularly check the turn signal lights for proper operation and replace any burnt-out bulbs. Inspect the turn signal lever for smooth operation and listen for the clicking sound indicating proper function.
A rapid blinking turn signal typically indicates a burnt-out bulb. Check all turn signal bulbs and replace any that are not functioning.
To replace a turn signal bulb, access the bulb compartment from the inside of the trunk or hood, depending on whether it's a front or rear signal. Remove the old bulb by twisting counterclockwise and replace it with a new bulb by twisting clockwise.
If the turn signal lever feels loose, it may need to be tightened or replaced. This requires removing the steering column cover, so it's recommended to have it inspected and serviced by a professional technician.
Extreme weather conditions like heavy rain or snow can affect electrical components. Ensure that the turn signal housing is intact and sealed properly to prevent moisture ingress.
Inspect the turn signal system at least once a month or before long trips to ensure proper functionality. Regular checks help identify issues early and prevent potential safety hazards.
