Acura RDX Base Wiper Control 2014 Manual

To activate the automatic rain-sensing wipers, ensure the wiper control lever is set to the 'AUTO' position. The system will automatically adjust the wiper speed based on the amount of rainfall detected on the windshield.
First, check the wiper fuse in the fuse box under the hood. If the fuse is intact, inspect the wiper motor and linkage for any visible damage or disconnection. If the problem persists, consult a professional mechanic.
Use the intermittent time adjustment ring on the wiper lever to set your desired delay time between wipes when in the 'INT' position. Rotating the ring adjusts the interval timing.
It is recommended to inspect the wiper blades every six months for wear and tear. Replace the wiper blades at least once a year or when they show signs of streaking or skipping.
Noisy wiper blades can be caused by dirt on the windshield or blades, worn-out blades, or improper installation. Clean both the blades and the windshield and check the installation. If the noise persists, consider replacing the blades.
To replace the wiper blades, lift the wiper arms away from the windshield. Press the release tab on the wiper blade and slide it off the arm. Align the new blade with the wiper arm and slide it into place until it clicks securely.
Streaking can be caused by dirt or oil build-up on the windshield. Ensure the windshield is thoroughly cleaned. If streaking persists, check for improper installation or defects in the new blades.
While it's generally safe to use any brand of windshield washer fluid, using a fluid specifically designed to withstand freezing temperatures is recommended, especially in colder climates. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
First, check if the wiper arms are obstructed or if the blades are too tight against the windshield. Inspect the wiper linkage for any signs of wear or damage. If these do not resolve the issue, the wiper motor may need servicing.
A loose or unresponsive wiper control lever may indicate a fault in the lever mechanism or internal switch. It's recommended to have it inspected and repaired by a certified technician to prevent further damage or failure.
