To activate the cruise control, press the "MAIN" button on the steering wheel to turn on the system. Then, accelerate to the desired speed and press the "SET/-" button to set the cruise control.
Ensure that the brake pedal is not pressed and that the vehicle speed is above 25 mph. If the issue persists, check for any error messages on the dashboard and consult the owner's manual or a professional technician.
The cruise control system can maintain speed on mild slopes, but for steeper declines, it may not be able to prevent speed increase. Driver intervention may be necessary.
To adjust the set speed, press the "RES/+" button to increase speed, or the "SET/-" button to decrease speed. Each press changes the speed by 1 mph.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) automatically adjusts the vehicle speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. The 2018 Acura NSX does not come equipped with ACC.
To cancel cruise control, you can either press the "CANCEL" button on the steering wheel or lightly tap the brake pedal. This action retains the set speed in memory.
It is not recommended to use cruise control in wet or icy conditions as it may reduce the driver's ability to respond to road conditions. Manual control is safer in such scenarios.
To resume the previously set speed, press the "RES/+" button on the steering wheel. Ensure that your speed is above 25 mph before resuming.
The cruise control system requires minimal maintenance. However, ensure that the vehicle's electrical system and brake components are regularly checked and maintained.
The cruise control may disengage automatically if the system detects a fault, if the brake pedal is pressed, or if the vehicle speed drops below 25 mph. Check for warning lights and consult a professional if needed.
