To activate the rain-sensing wipers, ensure the ignition is on, then move the wiper lever to the AUTO position. The wipers will automatically adjust speed based on the amount of rainfall detected.
If your wipers are streaking, it may be time to clean or replace the wiper blades. Clean the blades with a soft cloth and mild detergent. If streaking persists, consider replacing the blades.
To replace the wiper blades, lift the wiper arm away from the windshield, press the tab to release the blade, and slide it off the arm. Attach the new blade by sliding it in until it clicks securely.
If the wipers do not turn off automatically, check if the wiper lever is set to AUTO. If the lever is in the wrong position, adjust it accordingly. If the issue persists, consult your dealership for a possible sensor issue.
Inspect your wiper blades regularly for wear and tear. It’s recommended to replace them every 6 to 12 months, or sooner if they are not clearing the windshield effectively.
You can adjust the wiper speed manually by moving the wiper lever up or down. Each position on the lever corresponds to a different speed setting, allowing you to choose the desired speed.
Squeaking noises can be caused by dirt or debris on the blades or windshield. Clean both surfaces thoroughly. If the noise continues, inspect the blades for damage and consider replacing them if necessary.
While you can use various brands of wiper fluid, it is advised to use a high-quality washer fluid that is suitable for your climate to ensure optimal visibility and performance.
First, check the wiper fuse located in the fuse box. If the fuse is intact, examine the wiper motor and linkage for any visible issues. If you cannot identify the problem, contact a professional technician.
In winter, lift the wiper arms off the windshield when parking to prevent the blades from freezing to the glass. This reduces the risk of tearing the rubber when you use them again.
