First, locate the tire sealant and inflator kit in the cargo area of your vehicle. Connect the sealant bottle to the valve stem of the tire, then attach the inflator hose to the sealant bottle. Turn on the inflator and wait until the tire reaches the recommended pressure.
The tire sealant is designed for small punctures up to 6mm in the tread area. It is not suitable for sidewall damage or large punctures.
The tire is considered a temporary fix. It's recommended to drive no more than 100 miles and at speeds no greater than 50 mph. Visit a professional tire repair shop as soon as possible.
Check that all connections are secure and that the sealant bottle and inflator are properly attached. If the tire still does not inflate, the puncture may be too large, or there may be another issue with the tire. Consider calling for roadside assistance.
The tire sealant provided is non-corrosive and safe for use with your vehicle's tires and rims. However, it is important to clean the tire and rim thoroughly after use.
Inspect the kit every six months to ensure it is in good condition, and check the expiration date on the sealant bottle. Replace any expired or damaged components.
The tire sealant typically has a shelf life of 4 to 5 years. Always check the expiration date printed on the bottle before use.
The inflator can be reused, but the sealant is single-use. Once opened, the sealant bottle should be replaced, even if there is some left.
After using the kit, check the tire pressure using a tire gauge. If the pressure holds steady after driving a short distance, the sealant has likely sealed the puncture.
Do not use expired sealant as it may not effectively seal a puncture. Replace it with a new bottle from an authorized dealer or automotive store.
