To activate the Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow, press the MAIN button on the steering wheel, then press the SET/- button to set your desired speed. Use the RES/+ and SET/- buttons to adjust the speed.
The Low Speed Follow feature allows your Acura MDX to maintain a set interval behind detected vehicles, even at low speeds, including stop-and-go traffic.
Ensure that the radar sensor is clean and unobstructed. Check if there are any error messages on the dashboard and refer to the owner's manual for troubleshooting steps.
Yes, you can adjust the distance interval using the interval button on the steering wheel. Press the button to cycle through the available distance settings.
Check if any warning lights are on. Make sure all related systems are functioning, such as the brake and transmission. If issues persist, consult a certified Acura technician.
To turn off the system, press the CANCEL button on the steering wheel, or tap the brake pedal. To completely deactivate, press the MAIN button.
The system may deactivate if the radar sensor is blocked, if the vehicle is traveling below the minimum speed, or if there is heavy rain or fog. Clear any obstructions and try again.
Adaptive Cruise Control is not recommended for use in heavy traffic, poor weather, or winding roads. Always remain attentive and ready to take control of the vehicle.
Clean the radar sensor, located on the front grille, with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive materials that could damage the sensor surface.
Regularly inspect and clean the radar sensor, ensure software updates are applied, and have the system checked during routine vehicle maintenance.
