Acura ILX Tech Wiper Control 2015 Manual

To activate the rain-sensing wipers, turn the wiper lever to the AUTO position. The system will automatically adjust the wiper speed based on the amount of rainfall detected.
If the wipers are not functioning, first check the wiper fuse located in the interior fuse box. If the fuse is intact, inspect the wiper motor and control switch for any visible damage or disconnections.
The sensitivity of the rain-sensing wipers can be adjusted by turning the sensitivity dial on the wiper lever. Rotate it towards the plus (+) sign for higher sensitivity and towards the minus (-) sign for lower sensitivity.
Streaks can be caused by worn wiper blades or debris on the windshield. Inspect and clean the blades, and if necessary, replace them to ensure a clean wipe.
It is recommended to replace the wiper blades every 6 to 12 months, or sooner if they show signs of wear such as streaking or skipping.
To change the wiper blades, lift the wiper arm and press the release tab on the wiper blade. Slide the old blade off and attach the new blade until it clicks into place. Lower the wiper arm carefully back onto the windshield.
It is recommended to use a windshield washer fluid that is specifically designed for automotive use, as it contains additives to help clean and prevent freezing. Avoid using water as it can freeze and damage the system.
Wiper noise can often be resolved by cleaning the windshield and wiper blades. If the noise persists, check the wiper arm alignment and ensure the blades are installed correctly. Consider replacing the blades if they are old or damaged.
Intermittent operation could be due to a faulty wiper motor or control switch. Wiring issues or a malfunctioning rain sensor can also cause this problem. A thorough inspection by a professional is recommended.
To disable the automatic wiper function, move the wiper lever from the AUTO position to the OFF position or select the manual wiper speed settings.
