To activate the automatic rain-sensing wipers, turn the wiper control lever to the 'AUTO' position. The system will automatically adjust the wiper speed according to the amount of rainfall detected.
First, check the wiper fuse in the fuse box to ensure it is not blown. If the fuse is intact, inspect the wiper motor and linkage for any signs of damage or obstruction.
Use the wiper control lever on the right side of the steering column. Move the lever up or down to change the wiper speed: 'INT' for intermittent, 'LO' for low speed, and 'HI' for high speed.
Streaks can be caused by worn or dirty wiper blades. Clean the blades with a damp cloth or replace them if they are worn out. Ensure the windshield is also clean.
It is recommended to replace the wiper blades every 6 to 12 months, or as soon as they show signs of wear such as streaking or splitting.
Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield, press the release tab, and slide the old blade off. Align the new blade with the arm and slide it on until it clicks into place.
Use a high-quality windshield washer fluid suitable for your climate. Avoid using water, as it can freeze in cold temperatures and may not effectively clean the windshield.
Yes, the wiper control settings can be adjusted while driving. However, ensure it is done safely and without distraction.
Clean the windshield and wiper blades with a suitable cleaner. If the noise persists, consider replacing the wiper blades as they may be worn.
To temporarily disable the rain-sensing feature, move the wiper control lever to the 'OFF' position. This will deactivate the automatic function until it is switched back to 'AUTO'.
