To program the HomeLink system, first press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons until the indicator light begins to flash. Then, hold your garage door remote 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink panel and press both the remote and the desired HomeLink button until the light changes from a slow to a rapid flash.
Ensure that the garage door opener has a rolling code. If so, after programming the HomeLink button, press the "learn" button on your garage door opener motor within 30 seconds, then press and hold the programmed HomeLink button for 2 seconds. Repeat if necessary.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. This includes oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Consult the owner's manual for a detailed maintenance schedule.
The recommended oil type for the 2013 Acura ILX Tech is 0W-20 synthetic oil, which provides optimal performance and fuel efficiency.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure regular maintenance, keep tires properly inflated, reduce excess weight, and drive smoothly without excessive acceleration.
If the check engine light comes on, check for any obvious issues like a loose gas cap. If the light remains, use an OBD-II scanner to diagnose the issue or visit a qualified mechanic.
To reset the maintenance light, turn the ignition to the ON position, press the "SEL/RESET" button until the oil life indicator appears, then press and hold the button until the indicator resets to 100%.
Common issues include navigation system errors, Bluetooth connectivity problems, and occasional transmission roughness. Regular software updates and maintenance can alleviate some of these issues.
To replace a headlight bulb, open the hood, remove the power connector from the back of the headlight, twist the bulb holder counterclockwise, and replace the old bulb with a new one. Ensure you do not touch the glass part of the new bulb.
The recommended tire pressure for the Acura ILX Tech is 33 psi for both front and rear tires. Regularly check and maintain this pressure for optimal performance and safety.
