To set the time, gently pull out the crown from the side of the clock to the first position and turn it clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Once set, push the crown back into its original position.
First, check if the battery needs replacement. Open the battery compartment, remove the old battery, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the battery is inserted correctly with the correct polarity. If it still doesn't work, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
To change the battery, locate the battery compartment at the back of the clock. Open the compartment, remove the old battery, and insert a new AA battery ensuring the positive and negative terminals match the markings inside the compartment. Close the compartment securely.
Erratic ticking is often caused by a low battery. Replace the battery with a new one and ensure it is properly installed. If the problem persists, check for obstructions or consult the manual for further troubleshooting steps.
While it is possible to use rechargeable batteries, it is recommended to use standard alkaline batteries for optimal performance and longer life. Rechargeable batteries may not provide the consistent power required for accurate timekeeping.
To clean the clock, use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the surface. Avoid using water or cleaning agents, as they can damage the clock's finish or internal components. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth, being careful not to let moisture enter the clock.
Minor scratches can be polished with a soft cloth and a small amount of plastic polish. For deeper scratches, consider consulting a professional or contacting Acctim for repair options. Avoid using any abrasive materials that might worsen the damage.
Inaccurate timekeeping can be due to a weak battery. Replace the battery with a new one. If the problem continues, ensure the clock is placed on a stable surface away from magnetic fields or electronic devices that might interfere with its operation.
To adjust the alarm, locate the alarm setting dial or button on the back of the clock. Turn or press it to set the desired alarm time. Ensure the alarm switch is turned on. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions related to your model.
The ticking noise is a characteristic of traditional analog clocks. If it's too loud, consider placing the clock in a different location or using a clock with a sweep movement, which is designed to be quieter.
