It is recommended to change the oil every 3,000 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal performance of your Yamaha YZFR3H R3.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant with corrosion inhibitors specifically formulated for aluminum engines. Avoid using coolants with silicates.
Check the battery for charge and connections, ensure the kill switch is in the correct position, inspect the fuel level, and ensure the side stand is up. If problems persist, consult a Yamaha service center.
The recommended tire pressure is 36 psi for the front tire and 42 psi for the rear tire. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
To adjust the chain tension, place the bike on a stand, loosen the axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters evenly on both sides, and ensure there is about 20-30mm of slack. Tighten the axle nut once adjusted.
If the engine overheats, stop riding immediately, turn off the engine, and allow it to cool. Check coolant levels and for any leaks. If overheating persists, have a professional mechanic inspect the cooling system.
Regularly inspect brake pads for wear, check brake fluid levels, and ensure there are no leaks in the brake lines. Replace brake fluid every two years and pads as needed.
Perform regular oil changes, chain lubrication and tension checks, coolant level checks, brake inspections, and tire pressure monitoring. Follow the service intervals in the owner's manual for detailed guidance.
To clean the air filter, remove it from the housing, wash it with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and let it dry completely before reinstalling. Replace if heavily soiled or damaged.
Check the air filter for blockages, ensure the fuel is fresh and the fuel filter is clean, inspect the spark plugs for wear, and verify that the throttle cable is properly adjusted.
