The recommended break-in procedure includes avoiding full-throttle starts and high RPMs during the first 10 hours of use. Gradually increase the throttle and load to allow the engine to settle in properly.
The transmission oil should be changed every 15 hours of riding or after every race. Always check the oil level before each ride.
It is recommended to use unleaded gasoline with a pump octane number of 91 or higher. Avoid using ethanol-blended fuels if possible.
Adjust the suspension by fine-tuning the compression and rebound damping settings according to the terrain. Softer settings work for rough terrains and harder settings for smoother surfaces. Refer to the owner's manual for specific settings.
The correct spark plug gap should be set to 0.7-0.8 mm (0.028-0.031 inches). Always use a feeler gauge to ensure accuracy.
Check the fuel supply, ensure the kill switch is in the run position, inspect the spark plug for fouling, and verify the ignition system is functioning. Clean or replace components as needed.
Thoroughly wash the bike, inspect and clean the air filter, check the chain for debris, and lubricate all moving parts. Inspect the brakes and suspension for any damage or wear.
Loosen the locknut on the adjuster, turn the adjuster to achieve the desired free play (typically 10-15 mm), and then tighten the locknut to secure the adjustment.
The recommended tire pressure is 15 psi for the front tire and 15 psi for the rear tire. Adjust according to terrain and rider preference for optimal performance.
Use a chain cleaner to remove dirt and debris, then apply a suitable chain lubricant. Ensure the chain is correctly tensioned, having 30-40 mm of slack, and adjust as necessary.
