It is recommended to change the transmission oil every 10 hours of riding or after every race to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the engine components.
The correct spark plug gap for the Yamaha YZ125D 2013 should be set at 0.7 to 0.8 mm (0.028 to 0.031 inches) for optimal ignition performance.
To prevent overheating, ensure the radiator is clean and free of debris, maintain proper coolant levels, and avoid prolonged idling. Using a high-quality coolant can also help manage engine temperatures.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 91 (R+M)/2 to ensure efficient combustion and performance. Avoid using ethanol-blended fuels above E10.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the axle nut and turn the chain adjusters on both sides equally until the chain slack is between 30 to 40 mm (1.18 to 1.57 inches). Tighten the axle nut securely after adjustment.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tire is 15 psi, and for the rear tire is 15 psi. Adjust the pressure based on riding conditions and personal preference for optimal grip and handling.
Clean the air filter after every ride in dusty conditions, or at least every 2-3 rides in normal conditions, to ensure optimal air intake and engine performance.
To bleed the brakes, start by removing the reservoir cover, then attach a clear tube to the bleeder valve. Pump the brake lever several times, open the bleeder valve to release air, then close it. Repeat until no air bubbles are visible in the tube.
Adjust the suspension settings by tuning the compression and rebound damping according to the terrain. For softer terrains, decrease compression damping and for harder terrains, increase it. Always refer to the owner's manual for guidance specific to your model.
Symptoms of a worn-out clutch include slipping under load, difficulty shifting gears, a spongy clutch lever feel, and unusual noises when the clutch is engaged. If these symptoms occur, inspect and replace worn components as necessary.
