It is recommended to use Yamalube 4, 10W-40 or any 4-stroke oil that meets or exceeds the JASO MA standard.
Change the oil every 6 months or every 600 miles, whichever comes first. Make sure to also replace the oil filter during each oil change.
The recommended tire pressure is 4 psi for the front tires and 4 psi for the rear tires.
Check the battery connections for corrosion or loose wires, ensure the fuel valve is open, check the spark plug for wear or fouling, and verify that the kill switch is in the correct position.
Regular maintenance includes checking and adjusting the brakes, inspecting and lubricating the chain, checking the air filter, and inspecting the tires for wear and proper pressure.
Locate the carburetor adjustment screws, usually on the side of the carburetor. Use a screwdriver to adjust the air-fuel mixture and idle speed to achieve a smooth idle and optimal performance.
Stop riding immediately and let the engine cool down. Check the coolant level and inspect for any leaks. Ensure that the radiator is clean and not obstructed.
Remove the spark plug wire, use a spark plug socket to unscrew the old plug, and replace it with a new spark plug. Ensure it is properly gapped and tightened.
The recommended battery type is a 12V, 4Ah maintenance-free battery. Make sure it fits securely in the battery compartment.
Performance can be enhanced by installing a high-performance exhaust system, upgrading the air filter, and properly tuning the carburetor. Regular maintenance also ensures optimal performance.
