To adjust the chain tension, first place the ATV on a level surface. Loosen the axle nuts and adjust the chain adjusters evenly on both sides until the chain has about 1/2 inch of slack. Tighten the axle nuts securely and recheck the tension.
Use a high-quality 4-stroke engine oil with a viscosity of 10W-40 that meets or exceeds the JASO MA standards. Regularly check and change the oil according to the maintenance schedule.
Check the battery charge and ensure the connections are tight and clean. Inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling and replace if necessary. Verify that fuel is reaching the carburetor and check the fuel filter for clogs.
The recommended tire pressure is 4 psi for the front tires and 3 psi for the rear tires. Always check tire pressure when the tires are cold for accurate readings.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 6 months or 50 operating hours, whichever comes first. This includes checking the oil, air filter, brakes, and other vital components.
The recommended spark plug is NGK CR6HSA. Ensure it is gapped correctly to the specifications found in the owner’s manual before installation.
Remove the air filter and wash it with a mild detergent and water. Allow it to dry completely, then apply air filter oil evenly. Reinstall it securely in the air box.
Check the coolant level and ensure the radiator is not clogged or dirty. Inspect the fan operation and thermostat. Replace any faulty components and ensure the engine oil level is adequate.
To adjust the brakes, locate the brake adjuster nuts near each wheel. Turn the nuts clockwise to tighten or counterclockwise to loosen until the desired braking feel is achieved. Ensure the brakes do not drag and test the ATV after adjustment.
Check the clutch adjustment and ensure it is correctly set. Inspect the shifter linkage for any bends or damage and lubricate moving parts. If the issue persists, consult a professional mechanic for further diagnosis.
