To change the oil, first warm up the engine for a few minutes, then turn it off. Remove the drain plug under the engine to drain the oil into a pan. Replace the drain plug and remove the oil filter. Install a new oil filter and fill the engine with the recommended oil type and amount.
Check the battery connections and ensure the battery is charged. Verify that the fuel valve is open and that there is sufficient fuel. Inspect the spark plug for fouling and clean or replace if necessary. Ensure the kill switch is in the 'Run' position.
The air filter should be inspected and cleaned every 20 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace the air filter every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure is 4 psi for the front tires and 4 psi for the rear tires. Adjust the pressure according to load and terrain for optimal performance.
Start by checking all fuses and replace any that are blown. Inspect the wiring for damage or loose connections. Test the battery voltage and charge if necessary. Check the ignition switch and other electrical components for proper operation.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol antifreeze mixed with distilled water at a 1:1 ratio. This provides optimal cooling and freeze protection for the engine.
To adjust the carburetor, first ensure the engine is warm. Adjust the idle screw to achieve a stable idle speed. Fine-tune the air-fuel mixture screw to get the best engine performance and smooth idle.
Regular maintenance includes changing the oil and filter, cleaning the air filter, checking and adjusting the brakes, inspecting the drive belt, lubricating all grease points, and checking tire pressure.
To replace the spark plug, remove the spark plug cap and use a spark plug socket to unscrew the old plug. Install the new spark plug by hand initially, then tighten with a socket. Ensure it is properly gapped before installation.
For long-term storage, clean the ATV thoroughly, change the oil, and add fuel stabilizer to the tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the ATV to protect it from dust and moisture.
