To perform an oil change, warm up the engine, place a drain pan under the engine, remove the drain plug, and let the oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug, remove the oil filter, install a new filter, and fill with the recommended oil type and quantity.
The recommended tire pressure for the Yamaha Wolverine 350 is 5 psi for the front tires and 5 psi for the rear tires. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness, ensure the battery is charged, inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling, and verify that the fuel is fresh and reaching the carburetor.
Use an NGK DR8EA spark plug for the Yamaha Wolverine 350. Ensure it is gapped correctly to 0.6-0.7 mm (0.024-0.028 inches).
To adjust the chain tension, place the ATV on a stand, loosen the rear axle nut, turn the chain adjusters equally on both sides to achieve proper tension, and then retighten the axle nut. Ensure the chain has about 1-1.5 inches of slack.
Clean the ATV thoroughly, change the oil and filter, add fuel stabilizer to the tank, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and cover the ATV to protect it from dust and moisture.
Replace the air filter every 6 months or 100 hours of operation, whichever comes first. Check more frequently if operating in dusty conditions.
Ensure the engine is cool, locate the coolant reservoir, and check that the coolant level is between the minimum and maximum marks. Add coolant if necessary.
Remove the carburetor from the engine, disassemble it carefully, use carburetor cleaner to clean all jets and passages, reassemble, and reinstall on the ATV. Ensure all gaskets and seals are in good condition.
Check the headlight bulbs for failure, inspect the fuse box for a blown fuse, and verify the light switch is functioning. Replace any faulty components as needed.
