To break in the engine, avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration. Keep the engine RPM varied and avoid long periods of idling. After the first 10 hours, replace the engine oil and check the oil filter.
Use a high-quality 4-stroke engine oil that is SAE 10W-40 with API service of SG or higher, JASO standard MA.
Clean the air filter every 20 hours of operation, or more frequently if you ride in dusty or sandy conditions. Replace it if it shows signs of damage or excessive dirt.
The recommended tire pressure is 4 psi (27.6 kPa) for the front tires and 4 psi (27.6 kPa) for the rear tires. Check the pressure regularly and adjust as necessary.
If the engine won't start, check the battery charge, ensure the fuel is fresh, and inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling. Also, verify that the kill switch is set to the "RUN" position.
Stop the engine immediately and let it cool down. Check the coolant level and inspect for leaks or damage in the cooling system. Ensure the cooling fan is operational.
Loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters equally on both sides until the chain slack is within 1.2-1.6 inches (30-40 mm), then retighten the axle nut securely.
Routine maintenance includes checking and changing engine oil, inspecting the air filter, adjusting the chain, checking tire pressures, and inspecting brakes and suspension components regularly.
Remove the spark plug cap, use a spark plug wrench to unscrew the old spark plug, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the new spark plug is the correct type and gap it to specifications before installation.
Common electrical issues include a dead battery, blown fuses, and faulty connections. Check the battery voltage, inspect all fuses, and ensure all electrical connections are secure and free of corrosion.
