To properly break in the engine, start by running the engine at varied RPMs for the first 10 hours. Avoid full throttle and heavy loads during this period to ensure all components wear in evenly.
Use a high-quality 4-stroke engine oil with a viscosity grade of SAE 10W-40. Change the oil every 20 hours of operation or every 6 months, whichever comes first.
First, check the battery for charge and connections. Ensure the fuel supply is not obstructed and the fuel is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for fouling and clean or replace it if necessary.
The recommended tire pressure is 5.0 psi for the front tires and 5.0 psi for the rear tires. Always check tire pressure when the tires are cold.
To adjust the idle speed, locate the idle screw on the carburetor and turn it clockwise to increase the RPM or counterclockwise to decrease it. Aim for a smooth idle between 1350 and 1500 RPM.
Stop the vehicle as soon as possible and let the engine cool down. Check the coolant level and inspect for any leaks. Ensure the radiator is not blocked by debris.
Regularly inspect brake pads for wear and replace them if they are less than 1mm thick. Check the brake fluid level and top it up as necessary. Ensure the brake lines are not damaged.
Clean the air filter every 20 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace it if it shows signs of damage or excessive dirt that cannot be cleaned.
For long-term storage, clean the vehicle thoroughly, change the oil, fill the fuel tank with stabilized fuel, and disconnect the battery. Store the vehicle in a dry, covered location.
Remove the valve cover to access the valves. Use a feeler gauge to measure the clearance. Adjust by loosening the lock nut and turning the adjuster screw. The correct clearance is 0.10mm (intake) and 0.15mm (exhaust).
