Use a high-quality 4-stroke engine oil, such as Yamalube 4, with a viscosity grade appropriate for your local climate, typically 10W-40.
Change the oil every 20 hours of operation or every 6 months, whichever comes first. Regular oil changes ensure optimal performance and longevity of the engine.
The recommended tire pressure is 5 psi for the front tires and 5 psi for the rear tires. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
Check the battery condition, ensure the fuel valve is open, verify the spark plug functionality, and ensure the kill switch is in the 'run' position.
The recommended spark plug is NGK DR8EA. Ensure it is properly gapped to 0.6-0.7 mm for optimal performance.
Regularly check brake pad wear, ensure brake fluid is at the correct level, and bleed the brakes if they feel spongy. Replace pads or fluid as needed.
Ensure the radiator is not clogged, check coolant levels, inspect the fan operation, and make sure the engine is not overloaded or running at high RPMs for extended periods.
Locate the idle adjustment screw on the carburetor and turn it clockwise to increase idle speed or counterclockwise to decrease it, aiming for a smooth idle around 1450-1550 RPM.
Maintain proper tire pressure, perform regular maintenance, use the recommended oil and spark plug, and avoid aggressive acceleration and excessive idling.
Remove the air filter, wash it with mild soap and water, let it dry completely, then apply a light coat of air filter oil before reinstalling it.
