To properly break in the engine, avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration for the first 10 hours of use. Gradually increase the engine speed and load, and avoid prolonged idling. Regularly check and adjust the oil level during the break-in period.
The recommended oil type is SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 with an API service classification of SG or higher. The oil capacity is approximately 1.0 liters (1.1 US quarts) when changing the oil.
The air filter should be inspected and cleaned every 20 hours of operation or more frequently if you ride in dusty conditions. Ensure that the filter is dry and properly oiled before reinstallation.
If the ATV does not start, check the fuel level, battery charge, and ensure the engine stop switch is in the "Run" position. Inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling, and ensure the fuel valve is open.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the rear axle nuts and adjust the chain adjusters until the chain has about 30-40mm (1.2-1.6 inches) of slack midway between the front and rear sprockets. Retighten the axle nuts securely.
The correct spark plug type is NGK CR6HSA, and the recommended spark plug gap is 0.6-0.7mm (0.024-0.028 inches). Check and adjust the gap before installation.
To check the brake fluid level, position the ATV on a level surface, and turn the handlebars so the reservoir is level. The fluid level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the reservoir. Use DOT 4 brake fluid if topping up is necessary.
If the ATV overheats, stop immediately and let the engine cool down. Check the coolant level and inspect the radiator for blockages. Ensure that the cooling fan is operational. Avoid riding in extreme conditions until the issue is resolved.
The drive belt should be inspected every 50 hours of operation and replaced if there are signs of wear or damage. Refer to the owner's manual for specific replacement intervals and procedures.
Maintain a tire pressure of 20 kPa (0.2 kgf/cm², 2.9 psi) for both the front and rear tires for optimal performance and handling. Adjust the pressure according to the load and terrain conditions if necessary.
