Regular maintenance includes oil and filter changes every 4,000 miles, checking and adjusting the throttle, inspecting brake pads and discs, lubricating the drive chain, and checking tire pressure and tread.
Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness, ensure the kill switch is in the 'run' position, inspect the starter relay and fuses, and verify that the clutch lever is pulled in if the bike is in gear.
The recommended oil is Yamalube 10W-40 or any high-quality motorcycle oil that meets or exceeds the API SG standards.
Adjust the suspension by setting the preload, rebound, and compression damping according to your weight and riding conditions. Refer to the owner's manual for detailed instructions on making these adjustments.
Stop the motorcycle immediately and let it cool down. Check the coolant level and inspect the radiator and hoses for leaks. Ensure the radiator fan is operational. Consult a mechanic if the problem persists.
Maintain a steady speed, avoid rapid acceleration and heavy braking, ensure tires are properly inflated, and perform regular maintenance such as air filter cleaning or replacement and spark plug inspection.
The recommended tire pressure is 33 psi for the front tire and 36 psi for the rear tire when riding solo. Adjust according to the load and riding conditions as specified in the owner's manual.
Turn the ignition on, press the 'Select' button until the 'Oil Change' message appears, then press and hold the 'Reset' button for a few seconds until the light resets.
Check the ABS sensor alignment and cleanliness, inspect the wheel speed sensor cables for damage, and ensure the battery voltage is adequate. Consult with a dealer if the issue persists.
Remove the headlight assembly by unscrewing the mounting bolts, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the rubber cover, and replace the bulb with a new H7 bulb. Reassemble in reverse order.
