The recommended tire pressure for the Yamaha XSR700 2018 is 36 psi for the front tire and 42 psi for the rear tire.
It is recommended to change the oil every 4,000 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal engine performance.
The Yamaha XSR700 2018 requires 10W-40 semi-synthetic motorcycle oil. Make sure it meets JASO MA standards.
To adjust the suspension, you can change the preload on the rear shock. Use the adjustment tool to rotate the preload adjuster, increasing or decreasing the tension to suit your preference.
To check the brake fluid level, locate the brake fluid reservoir on the handlebars. Ensure the motorcycle is upright and on level ground, then check that the fluid level is between the minimum and maximum marks.
First, ensure the kill switch is in the run position and the bike is in neutral. Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. If the issue persists, test the battery voltage and inspect the starter relay.
Remove the seat and the air filter cover. Take out the air filter and clean it using compressed air or wash it with mild soap and water. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
To maintain the chain, clean it with a chain cleaner and a brush. Lubricate it with a quality chain lubricant every 500 miles or after riding in wet conditions. Check for proper tension and adjust if necessary.
If the engine overheats, stop the motorcycle in a safe place and allow it to cool down. Check the coolant level and top up if necessary. Inspect for any coolant leaks or radiator obstructions.
To replace the headlight bulb, remove the headlight assembly by unscrewing it from the frame. Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the old bulb. Insert the new bulb, reconnect the wiring, and reattach the assembly.
