The recommended engine oil for the Yamaha XP500F TMAX 2015 is SAE 10W-40, API service grade SG or higher, or JASO standard MA.
It is recommended to inspect the air filter every 6,000 miles (10,000 km) and replace it if necessary. More frequent checks may be needed in dusty conditions.
To check the tire pressure, use a tire pressure gauge. The front tire should be at 33 psi (225 kPa) and the rear tire at 36 psi (250 kPa). Ensure the tires are cold when checking.
First, check the battery charge and connections. Ensure the kill switch is in the 'Run' position. If the problem persists, inspect the starter motor and relay.
Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage every 12,000 miles (20,000 km) and replace it if necessary. Follow the service manual for detailed instructions.
To improve fuel efficiency, regularly maintain your scooter, check tire pressure, avoid aggressive acceleration, and use the recommended grade of fuel.
If the scooter overheats, stop and let it cool down. Check the coolant level and look for leaks. Ensure the radiator is not blocked. Consult a mechanic if the problem continues.
To adjust the headlights, locate the adjustment screws near the headlight assembly. Turn the screws to align the light beam as per the user manual specifications.
For off-season storage, clean the scooter, fill the fuel tank with stabilizer, change the oil, disconnect the battery, and cover it to protect it from dust and moisture.
To replace the spark plugs, remove the front panel, disconnect the plug caps, unscrew the old plugs, and install new ones with the correct gap. Refer to the service manual for specifications.
