The recommended oil type for the Yamaha WR25RF is Yamalube 4-Stroke oil or any high-quality equivalent with a viscosity of 10W-40.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned every 600 miles (1,000 km) or every 3 months, and replaced if necessary.
To reset the maintenance light, turn the ignition on, press and hold the "Select" button until the maintenance icon starts blinking, then release and hold again until it disappears.
The recommended tire pressure for the Yamaha WR25RF is 15 psi for the front tire and 22 psi for the rear tire.
If your Yamaha WR25RF won't start, check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, and verify the kill switch is in the run position. If the problem persists, inspect the spark plug and fuel system.
To adjust the chain tension, place the bike on a stand, loosen the axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters evenly on both sides, then retighten the axle nut to the specified torque. Ensure there is 1.2 to 1.6 inches of slack in the chain.
The spark plug should be inspected and cleaned every 3,000 miles (5,000 km) and replaced every 6,000 miles (10,000 km) or as needed.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based antifreeze coolant that is specifically made for motorcycles, mixed with distilled water in a 50/50 ratio.
To check the brake fluid level, locate the brake fluid reservoir on the handlebar, ensure the bike is upright, and check that the fluid level is between the minimum and maximum marks.
To winterize your Yamaha WR25RF, clean the bike thoroughly, change the oil, fill the tank with fuel stabilizer, lubricate moving parts, remove the battery and store it in a cool dry place, and cover the bike with a breathable cover.
