The recommended tire pressure for the Yamaha TW200 2015 is 18 psi for the front tire and 22 psi for the rear tire.
It is recommended to change the engine oil every 1,000 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first. Always use the recommended oil type as per the owner’s manual.
Yamaha recommends using Yamalube 4-Stroke oil with a viscosity of 10W-40 for most riding conditions.
Check the battery charge and connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. Make sure the kickstand is up and the engine kill switch is in the 'run' position.
To adjust the chain, ensure the motorcycle is on a level surface. Loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters evenly on both sides, and ensure there is 1.2–1.6 inches of slack in the chain at its tightest point. Tighten the axle nut after adjustment.
Check and clean the air filter every 3,000 miles or more frequently in dusty conditions. Remove the air filter, clean it with soap and water, let it dry completely, and apply a light coat of air filter oil before reinstalling.
Signs include difficulty starting, rough idling, poor fuel economy, and reduced engine performance. Inspect the spark plug for wear, damage, or fouling and replace if necessary.
Brake fluid should be replaced every two years. Use DOT 4 brake fluid as recommended in the owner’s manual.
Check the headlight bulb for burnout and replace if necessary. Inspect the fuse and wiring for any issues. Ensure that the headlight switch is functioning properly.
To winterize your Yamaha TW200, add fuel stabilizer to the gas tank, change the oil, clean and lubricate the chain, check the battery and charge it if necessary, and store the bike in a dry, cool place with a cover.
