The recommended oil type for the Yamaha TT-R125P C is SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 with an API service classification of SG or higher. The oil capacity is approximately 1.0 liter (1.06 US qt) when changing oil.
It is recommended to clean and oil the air filter every 20 hours of riding or more frequently if you ride in dusty conditions. Make sure to use a foam filter oil.
For the Yamaha TT-R125P C, the recommended tire pressure is 15 psi for the front tire and 15 psi for the rear tire.
To adjust the chain tension, first loosen the rear axle nut. Then, adjust the chain adjusters on both sides of the swingarm to achieve 30-40 mm (1.2-1.6 inches) of slack in the middle of the chain. Finally, retighten the axle nut securely.
If your TT-R125P C won't start, check the following: ensure the fuel valve is on, the kill switch is in the run position, and the bike is in neutral. Check the spark plug for fouling and ensure the battery is charged.
Regularly check the brake fluid level and top up if necessary using DOT 4 brake fluid. Inspect brake pads for wear and replace them when the pad material is less than 1 mm thick. Ensure there are no leaks in the brake lines.
The proper spark plug gap for the Yamaha TT-R125P C is 0.6-0.7 mm (0.024-0.028 inches). Use a feeler gauge to check and adjust the gap if necessary.
The valve clearance should be checked every 3000 km (1860 miles) or 12 months, whichever comes first. Adjust if necessary to maintain optimal engine performance.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based antifreeze coolant mixed with distilled water at a 50:50 ratio. This will provide adequate protection against freezing and corrosion.
To improve suspension performance, consider adjusting the fork oil weight and level. You can also upgrade to aftermarket suspension components such as stiffer springs or adjustable shock absorbers for better handling.
