To connect your Yamaha RX-V661 Receiver to a TV, use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT port on the receiver to an HDMI IN port on your TV. Ensure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input source.
Ensure that the receiver is not on mute and the correct input source is selected. Check all cable connections and speaker wires for any loose connections.
To reset the receiver, turn it off, then press and hold the "STRAIGHT" button while turning it back on. Continue holding until "Advanced Setup" appears on the display, then release and press the "PROGRAM" knob to select "INIT" and confirm.
The Yamaha RX-V661 does not support firmware updates via USB or internet. Ensure that the receiver is functioning properly and refer to Yamaha support for any updates or service options.
Use the YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Acoustic Optimizer) feature by connecting the supplied microphone to the receiver and following the on-screen instructions to calibrate your speakers for optimal sound.
The Yamaha RX-V661 supports Dolby Digital, DTS, PCM, and other common audio formats. Check the manual for a full list of supported formats.
The Yamaha RX-V661 does not have built-in Bluetooth. You can connect a Bluetooth adapter to the receiver's audio input ports to stream audio from Bluetooth devices.
Ensure proper ventilation around the receiver. Avoid stacking other equipment on top, and clean any dust from vents. If the issue persists, consider using a cooling fan.
Use the "TONE CONTROL" button on the front panel to access the bass and treble settings, then adjust using the "PROGRAM" knob.
Press the "INPUT" button on the remote control, navigate to the HDMI input settings in the on-screen menu, and assign each HDMI input to the desired source.
