The Yamaha RS90 series, including models RS90G, RS90LG, RS90XTG, and RS90XT75G, is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87.
It is recommended to change the engine oil every 1,500 miles or at least once a season, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your snowmobile.
If your RS90XTG won't start in cold weather, ensure the battery is fully charged and check the fuel lines for any blockage. Using a fuel stabilizer can also help in preventing fuel-related issues.
To adjust the suspension on your RS90LG, refer to the owner's manual for settings based on rider weight and trail conditions. You can adjust preload and damping settings to customize the ride comfort.
Before storing your RS90G, ensure to clean it thoroughly, change the oil, add a fuel stabilizer, and disconnect the battery. Store it in a dry, cool place and cover it to protect it from dust.
Check the coolant levels and ensure there are no leaks. Inspect the radiator and fan for obstructions, and make sure the thermostat is functioning correctly.
First, remove the belt guard. Next, release the tension on the drive belt by rotating the secondary clutch. Slide the old belt off and install the new belt, ensuring it is properly aligned in the pulleys.
Before each ride, check the oil and coolant levels, inspect the brakes and throttle for proper operation, and examine the skis and track for wear or damage. Ensure all lights and signals are functioning.
To improve fuel efficiency, maintain proper tire pressure, perform regular maintenance such as oil changes and air filter replacements, and avoid aggressive riding styles.
If the check engine light is on, check for any error codes using a diagnostic tool. Inspect key components such as the engine, sensors, and electrical connections for any obvious issues. Consult a professional if necessary.
