Yamaha PZ50RTB, PZ50GTB, PZ50MTB 2012 Phazer Venture Lite Owner's Manual

Regular maintenance includes checking the oil levels, inspecting and cleaning the air filter, examining the brakes, and checking the track tension. Refer to the user manual for the recommended maintenance schedule.
First, ensure the kill switch is in the 'Run' position. Check the fuel level and battery connections. If the problem persists, inspect the spark plug for damage or fouling.
Check the air filter for dirt or obstructions, inspect the fuel lines for blockages, and ensure the spark plugs are clean and properly gapped. Adjust the idle speed screw if necessary.
Yamaha recommends using their Yamalube 4-Stroke Snowmobile Oil 0W-40 for optimal performance in all temperature conditions.
To adjust the track tension, elevate the rear of the snowmobile and loosen the rear axle bolts. Adjust the tension bolts evenly on each side until the desired tension is achieved, then retighten the axle bolts.
Overheating can be caused by a low coolant level, a faulty thermostat, or a blocked radiator. Ensure the cooling system is filled and free of obstructions.
Ensure the air filter is clean, maintain proper tire pressure, use the recommended oil, and avoid excessive idling. Regular tune-ups can also help improve fuel efficiency.
Clean the snowmobile thoroughly, drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and store it in a dry, covered place. Disconnect the battery and inflate the tires to the recommended pressure.
Remove the spark plug cap, use a spark plug socket to unscrew the old plug, and install the new one by hand initially to avoid cross-threading. Torque to the specifications in the manual.
Inspect the suspension components for wear, check the track and skis for damage, and ensure all bolts and fasteners are tightened to specifications.
