The Yamaha PW50D1 PW50 uses a premix of oil and gasoline. Use Yamaha 2-stroke engine oil and mix it at a 32:1 ratio with unleaded gasoline for optimal performance.
The recommended spark plug for the Yamaha PW50D1 PW50 is NGK BPM6A. Ensure that it is properly gapped to 0.024-0.028 inches (0.6-0.7 mm).
To adjust the throttle limiter, locate the throttle screw on the right handlebar. Turning it clockwise will reduce throttle movement, allowing you to control the speed limit.
First, check the spark plug for fouling and clean or replace if necessary. Ensure the fuel is fresh, and check the air filter for clogs. If the problem persists, inspect the carburetor for blockages.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before applying a light coat of air filter oil and reinstalling.
Use a high-quality 10W-30 or 10W-40 4-stroke motorcycle oil for the transmission. Check the oil level regularly and change it every 6 months or 1000 km, whichever comes first.
Check the brake cable tension and adjust if necessary. Inspect the brake shoes for wear and replace if needed. Ensure there is no air in the brake lines if applicable.
The recommended tire pressure for the Yamaha PW50D1 PW50 is 15 psi for both front and rear tires. Regularly check and adjust the pressure to maintain optimal tire performance.
Inspect the drive chain for wear and tension every 300 miles (480 km). Replace it if there are visible signs of damage or excessive wear to maintain performance and safety.
Clean the bike thoroughly and ensure it is dry. Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, remove the battery, and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the bike to protect it from dust and moisture.
