If the keys are not producing sound, first ensure the volume is turned up. Check if the keyboard is properly powered on and that headphones are not plugged in, as this will mute the speakers. If issues persist, reset the keyboard by turning it off and then on again.
To reset the Yamaha PSS-100 to factory settings, turn off the keyboard. While holding down the highest white key, turn the keyboard back on. This will reset the keyboard and clear any custom settings.
The Yamaha PSS-100 does not have a built-in recording feature. You can connect the keyboard to an external recording device using the headphone output to capture your performance.
To clean your Yamaha PSS-100, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the surfaces. Avoid using solvents or abrasive cleaners. Regularly check the power adapter and cables for wear and tear, and store the keyboard in a dust-free environment when not in use.
To use the rhythm function, press the "Rhythm" button, then enter the desired rhythm number using the numerical keypad. Press the "Start/Stop" button to begin the rhythm playback. Adjust the tempo using the "Tempo" buttons.
The Yamaha PSS-100 does not have a direct USB or MIDI output for computer connectivity. However, you can use an adapter to connect the headphone output to a computer's audio input for recording purposes.
If the keys feel sticky, gently clean around and under the keys with a slightly damp cloth. Ensure no moisture seeps into the keyboard. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician for further cleaning and maintenance.
The battery life for the Yamaha PSS-100 varies based on usage, but typically, six fresh AA batteries can last for several hours of continuous play. To conserve battery life, turn off the keyboard when not in use.
