To connect the PSR-E413 to a computer, use a USB-MIDI interface. Connect the MIDI OUT of the keyboard to the MIDI IN of the interface and vice versa. Install the necessary drivers on your computer and configure your DAW or MIDI software to recognize the keyboard.
Press the 'Song' button, select a user song number, then press 'Record'. Choose a track to record on, and play your song. Press 'Stop' when finished, and the song will be saved in the selected user song location.
The 'Arpeggio' button turns on the arpeggiator, which automatically plays a sequence of notes based on the chords you play. This feature enhances your performance by adding rhythmic and melodic elements.
To replace the batteries, turn off the keyboard and open the battery compartment on the underside. Remove the old batteries and insert six new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
Ensure the volume is turned up and headphones are not connected. Check the power supply, and if using batteries, ensure they are not depleted. Also, verify that local control is set to 'on' in the MIDI settings.
Press the 'Voice' button, use the number keys or the '+' and '-' buttons to select a voice number, and then play the keyboard to hear the new voice.
Custom settings like voice, style, and tempo can be saved using the 'Registration Memory' feature. Set up your keyboard, press the 'Memory' button, then hold one of the registration buttons (1-4) to save the current settings.
First, ensure the keyboard is clean, as dust can affect key responsiveness. If the issue persists, it may require professional cleaning or repair. Consult the Yamaha service center for assistance.
