Position the speakers at ear level and form an equilateral triangle with the listening position. Ensure the speakers are away from walls to minimize reflections. Use quality speaker cables and ensure polarity is consistent.
Check the speaker connections to ensure they are secure. Verify that the amplifier or receiver is powered on and correctly set to the appropriate input source. Test with a different audio source if necessary.
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Avoid using liquids or sprays directly on the speakers. Periodically inspect the speaker grilles and remove dust with a vacuum cleaner using a brush attachment.
In a small room, place the speakers on stands or shelves at ear level, slightly angled towards the listening position. Maintain a distance from walls and corners to reduce bass buildup and reflections.
Connect the speaker wires to the corresponding terminals on your AV receiver, ensuring the positive and negative terminals match. Configure the receiver settings to recognize the speakers as part of your home theater setup.
Check the speaker connections for any loose wires. Ensure the amplifier or receiver is not set to a volume level that exceeds the speaker's power handling capacity. Consider testing with different audio sources or cables.
It is recommended to use an amplifier within the power range specified by Yamaha for the NS-AC143 to avoid damaging the speakers. Refer to the user manual for the appropriate power range.
Experiment with speaker placement, such as moving them closer to walls, to enhance bass response. Consider adding a subwoofer to your system for additional low-frequency support.
Choose speaker wires of appropriate gauge, typically 16 or 14 AWG, depending on the length of the run. Ensure the wires are made of high-quality copper and are compatible with your system's terminals.
Inspect all connections for looseness or corrosion. Test with different cables and audio sources to rule out external factors. Ensure the amplifier settings are correct and that the speaker terminals are clean and secure.
