Regular maintenance includes oil changes every 3,000 miles, chain lubrication every 500 miles, checking tire pressure, and inspecting brakes and lights.
Ensure the battery is fully charged, check the starter motor connections, inspect the fuses, and ensure the kill switch is in the correct position.
The recommended tire pressure is 36 psi for the front tire and 42 psi for the rear tire.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters evenly on both sides, and ensure the chain has a 1-inch slack. Tighten the axle nut once adjusted.
It is recommended to use a high-quality 10W-40 motorcycle-specific oil for optimal performance.
To reset the trip meter, press and hold the "Select" button on the instrument panel until the trip meter resets to zero.
Overheating could be caused by low coolant levels, a faulty thermostat, a clogged radiator, or a malfunctioning cooling fan.
To replace the spark plugs, remove the fuel tank, disconnect the spark plug caps, use a spark plug socket to remove the old plugs, and install new plugs with the correct gap.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, clean it with compressed air or wash with mild soap and water, let it dry completely, and reinstall it.
Check the battery voltage, inspect all fuses, ensure all wiring connections are secure, and look for any damaged wires or connectors.
