Yamaha FZ07H, FZ07HC, FZ07AH, FZ07AHC FZ 07 2017 Owner's Manual

The recommended oil type for the Yamaha FZ07H is Yamalube 10W-40 or equivalent motorcycle oil. The oil capacity is approximately 2.6 liters (2.75 US quarts) when the oil filter is also replaced.
First, ensure the kill switch is in the "Run" position and the bike is in neutral. Check the battery connections and charge. Inspect the fuses for any that are blown. Finally, verify that there is fuel in the tank and that the fuel pump is operating correctly.
The recommended tire pressure for the Yamaha FZ07AH is 36 psi for the front tire and 42 psi for the rear tire when riding solo. Adjust accordingly if riding with a passenger or carrying extra load.
It is recommended to inspect the air filter every 6,000 miles and replace it if it is dirty or damaged. Regular replacement intervals are generally every 12,000 miles, but this may vary depending on riding conditions.
During the break-in period, avoid rapid acceleration and maintain a variety of speeds to allow the engine parts to settle. Change the oil and oil filter after the first 600 miles, and check the valve clearance.
To adjust the chain tension, place the motorcycle on a stand. Loosen the axle nut and adjust the tensioner bolts on each side of the swingarm to achieve a slack of 20-30mm (0.8-1.2 inches). Tighten the axle nut and check the alignment.
To reset the engine warning light, turn the ignition off, press and hold the "Select" and "Reset" buttons on the instrument panel, then turn the ignition on while holding the buttons. Release the buttons when the light turns off. If the light persists, consult a Yamaha dealer.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol anti-freeze coolant containing corrosion inhibitors for aluminum engines, mixed with distilled water at a 50:50 ratio. Yamaha recommends using their own brand, Yamalube coolant, if available.
To check the brake fluid level, locate the brake fluid reservoir on the handlebar for the front brake and near the rear brake pedal for the rear brake. The fluid should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks. Refill with DOT 4 brake fluid if necessary.
For winter storage, clean the bike thoroughly, change the oil, fill the fuel tank and add a fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and cover the motorcycle to prevent dust accumulation. Store it in a dry, cool place.
