The recommended oil type for the Yamaha F90LB is Yamalube 4M FC-W 10W-30 or 20W-40.
The Yamaha F90LB should be serviced every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Check the fuel supply, battery condition, and spark plugs. Ensure the kill switch is in the correct position.
To winterize, flush the engine with fresh water, stabilize the fuel, change the oil, and remove the battery for storage.
Propeller size depends on the boat type and usage, but a common size is 13 1/4 x 17 inches. Consult your manual or dealer for specifics.
Maintain regular servicing, use the correct propeller, and avoid overloading the boat to improve fuel efficiency.
Warm up the engine, stop it, and drain the oil by removing the drain plug. Replace the oil filter, and refill with the recommended oil type.
Check for blockages in the water intake, ensure the impeller is functioning, and verify the thermostat is not stuck.
For the first 10 hours, avoid full throttle and vary the engine speed. Refer to the owner’s manual for detailed instructions.
Remove the spark plug cover, use a spark plug wrench to remove plugs, inspect and replace if necessary with NGK LFR5A-11 or equivalent.
