Yamaha F15AEHPL Owner's Manual

The Yamaha F15AEHPL outboard motor is recommended to use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 (R+M)/2.
It is recommended to change the engine oil every 100 hours of operation or at least once a year, whichever comes first.
To flush the cooling system, attach a garden hose to the flushing attachment, start the engine, and run it in neutral for about 10 minutes to ensure clean water runs through. Always follow the owner's manual for precise instructions.
Check the fuel system for clogs, ensure the battery is charged, inspect the spark plugs for wear, and verify that the kill switch is not engaged.
Regular maintenance checks include inspecting the propeller, checking the fuel system for leaks or damage, examining the cooling water inlet for blockages, and ensuring the throttle and shift cables are adjusted properly.
To store the Yamaha F15AEHPL, drain the fuel system, change the engine oil, apply fogging oil to the cylinders, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and cover the motor to protect it from dust and moisture.
If the engine overheats, stop it immediately and check the cooling water flow. Inspect the water intake for blockages and ensure the impeller is functioning correctly. Do not continue operation until the issue is resolved.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure the engine is well-maintained, use the recommended propeller, avoid excessive idling, and adjust the trim angle to an efficient position.
The spark plug gap for the Yamaha F15AEHPL should be set to 0.7-0.8 mm (0.028-0.031 in).
To identify the correct propeller, consider the boat size, weight, and typical load. Refer to the Yamaha propeller guide or consult with a dealer for recommendations.
