Ensure the watercraft is in sufficient water depth, attach the safety lanyard, and press the start button while in neutral. Refer to the owner's manual for detailed instructions.
Use Yamalube 4W 10W-40 oil for optimal performance, as it is specifically formulated for Yamaha watercraft engines.
Check the battery charge, ensure the safety lanyard is properly attached, and inspect the fuel level. If issues persist, consult a Yamaha dealership.
Rinse the exterior and flush the engine with fresh water to remove salt and debris. Inspect for any visible damage or leaks.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first, to maintain engine performance.
Clean and dry the watercraft, add fuel stabilizer, and store it in a cool, dry place with a cover. Consider removing the battery and storing it separately.
Use the electronic trim control to adjust the nose angle of the Waverunner. Lower the trim for a smoother ride in choppy water and raise it for higher speeds.
Stop the engine immediately, check for obstructions in the cooling intake, and ensure the cooling system is functioning. Allow the engine to cool before restarting.
Regularly rinse with fresh water after use, apply anti-corrosion spray to metal parts, and store the Waverunner in a dry environment.
The EX Deluxe includes features such as a reboarding step, dual mirrors, reverse capability, and Yamaha's RiDE technology for intuitive control.
