To winterize your Yamaha AR210, drain the cooling system, add antifreeze, stabilize the fuel, clean and dry the interior, disconnect the battery, and cover the boat to protect against the elements.
The recommended maintenance schedule includes checking and changing engine oil every 50 hours, inspecting the jet pump, checking the anodes, and performing a complete annual inspection.
Check the battery connections, ensure the battery is charged, examine the ignition switch, and inspect the fuses. If the issue persists, consult a professional technician.
Stop the engine immediately, check for blockages in the cooling intake, inspect the impeller, and ensure proper coolant levels. Allow the engine to cool before restarting.
Use a mild soap and water solution, scrub gently with a soft brush, rinse thoroughly, and let it air dry. Regularly apply a UV protectant to prevent sun damage.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 (R+M)/2. Avoid ethanol blends over E10 to prevent damage to the fuel system.
Maintain proper engine tune-up, ensure the hull is clean, reduce extra weight on board, and operate at optimal cruising speed.
Remove the pump assembly, unbolt the impeller housing, replace the impeller, and reassemble ensuring all seals are properly aligned. Consult the service manual for detailed instructions.
Check engine oil levels, inspect the bilge for leaks, test the steering and throttle controls, verify safety equipment, and ensure the fuel tank is full.
Look for corroded connections, blown fuses, faulty switches, and check the condition of the battery and its terminals. Regular maintenance can help prevent these issues.
