To change the blade on the Wen 36055 saw, first ensure the saw is unplugged. Then, loosen the blade guard and use the wrench provided to remove the arbor nut. Replace the old blade with a new one, ensuring the teeth face the correct direction, and re-tighten the arbor nut securely.
To align the fence, loosen the locking handle and position the fence parallel to the saw blade. Use a square to check alignment against the miter slot and adjust as necessary. Once aligned, tighten the locking handle to secure the fence in place.
To reduce dust, connect a vacuum to the dust port of the saw. Ensure all connections are sealed properly, and periodically check and clean the dust collection system to maintain efficiency.
Overheating can occur due to extended use or improper ventilation. Ensure the saw is not overloaded, and check for blockages in the ventilation slots. Allow the motor to cool down between prolonged cuts.
For cutting hardwood, it is recommended to use a carbide-tipped blade with a high tooth count, such as 60 to 80 teeth, to ensure clean and precise cuts.
To calibrate the miter gauge, place it in the miter slot and adjust the pointer to zero. Cut a piece of scrap wood, check the angle with a protractor, and adjust the miter gauge as needed for accurate cuts.
Always wear safety goggles and hearing protection. Keep hands clear of the blade and use push sticks for narrow cuts. Ensure the blade guard is in place and avoid wearing loose clothing or jewelry.
If the saw is not starting, check the power supply and ensure the switch is in the 'ON' position. Inspect the power cord for damage and ensure the blade is not obstructed. If issues persist, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
Regularly clean the sawdust from the saw and blade. Lubricate moving parts as recommended in the user manual, and check the alignment of the blade and fence periodically. Ensure all bolts and nuts are tightened properly.
To adjust the cutting depth, locate the depth adjustment lever, usually found on the side of the saw. Loosen the lever and raise or lower the blade to the desired depth. Tighten the lever to secure the setting.
