Viking VDB450 Quick Reference Guide

To start a wash cycle, load your dishes, add detergent, close the door, and press the desired cycle button. Ensure the door is securely latched and press the Start button.
Check the drain hose for kinks or blockages, clean the filter, and ensure the garbage disposal (if connected) is clear. If the problem persists, inspect the drain pump for obstructions.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack, twist the filter assembly counterclockwise, and lift it out. Rinse it under running water to remove debris, then reinstall it by twisting it clockwise until secure.
Spots on glassware may be due to hard water. Use a rinse aid to help prevent spots and ensure the detergent is appropriate for your water hardness level.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the Start button for 3 seconds. This will cancel the current cycle and allow you to select a new one.
Regularly clean the filter, check and clean the spray arms, wipe down the door seals, and run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner to maintain performance.
To improve drying, use a rinse aid, ensure proper loading to allow water drainage, select a heated drying option, and open the door slightly after the cycle to release steam.
Check for loose items in the racks, ensure the spray arms can rotate freely, and inspect the dishwasher for foreign objects that might be causing noise.
To adjust the upper rack, locate the adjustment levers on the sides of the rack. Lift the rack to move it higher or lower, ensuring it locks into place.
Pooling water may indicate a clogged filter or drain line. Clean the filter, check the drain hose for blockages, and ensure the dishwasher is level to allow proper drainage.
