Essential maintenance tasks include checking and changing the oil, inspecting and replacing air filters, checking tire pressure, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting the belts and blades for wear.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is functioning, verify that the battery is charged, and inspect the ignition switch for any faults.
Ensure the PTO switch is engaged, check the blade belt for damage or dislodgement, and inspect the PTO clutch for any electrical or mechanical issues.
The oil should be changed every 50 hours of operation or once per season, whichever comes first. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
It is recommended to use clean, fresh unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid ethanol blends above 10%.
Ensure the blades are sharp and properly balanced, maintain the correct tire pressure, and adjust the cutting height to suit the grass conditions.
Check for debris lodged in the blades or pulleys, inspect the blades for balance and sharpness, and ensure all bolts and fasteners are secure.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and store the tractor in a dry, sheltered area.
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Remove the air filter cover, take out the old filter, and insert a new filter. Reattach the cover securely.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever, usually near the driver's seat. Adjust it to the desired height, ensuring both sides are even for an even cut.
