To assemble the Vax S85-SF-R, attach the handle to the main body, secure any extension wands or tools, and ensure the water tank is fitted correctly. Refer to the manual for step-by-step instructions.
Check that the water tank is filled and securely attached. Ensure the unit is plugged in and turned on. If the issue persists, inspect the steam nozzle for blockages.
Descale your steam cleaner every 3 months or more frequently if you live in an area with hard water. Use a manufacturer-recommended descaling solution.
Machine wash the microfiber pads in warm water with mild detergent. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
The Vax S85-SF-R is designed to use water only. Adding detergents or other cleaning solutions can damage the unit and void the warranty.
Empty the water tank and ensure the unit is dry. Store the steam cleaner in a cool, dry place, and keep the power cord neatly coiled.
If the power cord is damaged, discontinue use immediately and contact Vax customer service for repair or replacement options. Do not attempt to fix it yourself.
Ensure the microfiber pad is clean and the floor is vacuumed or swept before steaming. Move the cleaner steadily and avoid excessive moisture buildup.
Check if the water tank is overfilled or if the steam setting is too high for the surface. Ensure the nozzle and pads are clean and not saturated.
Refer to the user manual for instructions. Generally, you need to twist and remove the existing nozzle and securely attach the new one. Ensure the unit is off and cooled down before attempting.
